My Teaching Philosophy
There are many rewarding moments in a classroom; the light bulb coming on, hearing a kind conversation, noticing perseverance, watching goofiness, and knowing your students feel safe enough to make mistakes.
In this classroom your child will know they are cared for and flourish due to the connection between home and school. Some subjects will be difficult but through perseverance and dedication- we can do anything. The harder we work, the stronger we become.

God of love, bless this classroom for the children and the teachers.
Open the minds and hearts of children and teachers that all may live in your vision.
Help us to learn and grow together.
Bless each child; may they know they are loved and special.
Bless each parent and guardian of the children.
Give us your peace and light.
Amen.

St. Joseph University Creed
I believe St. Joseph’s School is a place where I can be safe and happy.
I believe I am an important part of a community.
I believe I can learn in my own way.
I know there are many different ways to learn, and I believe my teacher will help me discover what works best for me.
I am free to make mistakes and I promise I will try to learn from my mistakes.
I believe that my teacher cares about me and celebrates my creativity.
I believe I have a voice and that I will be heard.
I believe that everything I am taught contributes to me being a whole child.
I believe that I am an artist, an athlete, a dancer and a musician. But above all…I am a thinker,
and I will strive to be a life-long learner.
Amen.
